ABOUT THE AUTHOR 

Kornei Chukovsky (1882-1969) was born in St. Petersburg, Russia. He is also the author of The Crocodile, The Telephone, and From Two to Five. He has often been compared to the American author Dr. Seuss.

 

ABOUT THE TRANSLATOR

Jan Seabaugh is a teacher, poet, writer, and illustrator. She received her Ph.D. in Humanities from the University of Texas at Dallas and currently lives in South Bend, Indiana, with her husband, Alan.
